The RTX Spark lands in October, and it's the clearest sign yet that Nvidia takes the compact AI PC seriously. Two N1X chip configurations are on the table at launch. That choice matters. A small machine that's stuck with one performance tier is a curiosity.

Nvidia has put concrete specifications behind the RTX Spark platform it teased back in May, confirming at IFA 2026 that laptops and mini PCs powered by the new chip family will arrive in October. The heart of the platform is a new Arm-based system-on-chip family called N1X, which places a Grace CPU and a Blackwell RTX GPU on a single piece of silicon. Two configurations will be available at launch: a top-tier variant pairing a 20-core Grace CPU with a 6144-core Blackwell GPU and unified memory scaling from 24GB all the way to 128GB, and a secondary variant trimming those figures to 18 CPU cores, 5120 GPU cores, and a memory ceiling of 32GB. The higher-end configuration will appear in both laptops and mini PCs, while the trimmed-down chip will be limited to laptops only at launch. Devices will come from Asus, Dell, MSI, HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft.

The ambition behind the two chips is significant. The top-tier N1X is positioned to handle memory-heavy large language models with up to 120 billion parameters running entirely on-device, demanding gaming, and complex 3D rendering workloads, territory that puts it in direct competition with Apple's highest-end silicon. The more modest configuration, meanwhile, targets the thin-and-light laptop segment that Apple's standard MacBook chips currently dominate. On the gaming side, Nvidia is pitching 100 frames per second at 1440p through DLSS 5 and multi-frame generation up to 6x, a combination that would represent a serious step forward for Windows-on-Arm as a gaming platform.

With an October launch locked in and a roster of major PC manufacturers already on board, the RTX Spark platform will face its real test when buyers and benchmarks weigh in on whether Nvidia's first complete PC platform can deliver on its considerable promises.

Apple is preparing to solve one of the most persistent frustrations for anyone who carries two iPhones: the fact that a phone number has always been tied to a single device. A feature called iPhone Handoff, quietly teased at WWDC 2026 and now demonstrated in a video circulating through MacRumors forums, will let two iPhones share the same phone number under iOS 27. Setup lives inside the Cellular section of Settings, where one iPhone is designated as the main device and the other becomes a companion. The primary eSIM stays on the main phone while the companion receives what Apple calls a companion eSIM, tying both devices to the same number without cloning the cellular setup outright. Location sharing is handled dynamically as well, broadcasting from whichever iPhone is actively using the number at any given moment.

There is an important caveat: carrier cooperation is required, and Apple has not yet published an official list of supported networks. Early indications point to T-Mobile in the United States and Deutsche Telekom in Germany as likely launch partners, which means availability will vary depending on where someone lives and which network they use.

Apple is expected to release iOS 27 later this month, and that launch should bring a much clearer picture of which carriers and devices will support iPhone Handoff from day one.

The Blood of Dawnwalker drops you straight into a scramble. You get one morning in the village of Laslea to poke around and finish quests before mass, and that's it. There are 13 quests on the board. You have seven usable time segments, once the main quest "Withering Away" eats one of them, which means you'll never clear the whole list in a single run. A few quests cost nothing at all. Others burn two segments each, so every pick carries weight long before the wider game opens up.

Nothing you skip in the prologue shuts you out of later content, which takes some of the sting off. That doesn't make these quests filler. "Blasphemy" is the standout, dropping an early moral dilemma on you while it teaches core systems like Focus. "Deep Down" shows off time-sensitive design by shifting depending on when you tackle it, and it wraps with a mini-boss fight. Want to know more about Anca, the central character and possible love interest? "Page-Turner" gives you the most, though it also has the steepest time cost of anything in the prologue. Then there are quests like "Disturbed" and "On the Run," which keep loading harder choices onto your plate and keep asking who Coen should be.

Keep one thing in your back pocket. If you open a quest with a single time segment left, it can fail partway through and hand you nothing for the trouble. A better move with that last segment is a skill upgrade, and the guide points specifically to Sustained Focus as the pick to grab. Rebel Wolves built The Blood of Dawnwalker around time management that actually matters, and the prologue is a taste of the calls waiting on the other side.
